Import Accounts
Import target companies from LinkedIn, Sales Navigator, or CSV files.
Import accounts directly into Obert when you have a list of target companies to prospect. Imported accounts are enriched with LinkedIn company data and can be added to account lists for scoring and campaign targeting.
Import methods
| Method | Source | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| LinkedIn company URLs | Paste company page URLs | Small, known target account lists |
| LinkedIn company search | Real-time LinkedIn search | Discovering companies by keyword |
| Sales Navigator | Sales Nav company search | Advanced company filtering (revenue, tech, growth) |
| CSV | Upload a spreadsheet | Migrating from CRM or external lists |

- Click Import → LinkedIn Company URLs.

https://linkedin.com/company/google). - Click Start Import.
Obert extracts the company identifier from each URL and enriches the account with full company data via LinkedIn.
Import from LinkedIn company search
- Click Import → Company Search.
- Enter a search query (e.g., "SaaS companies in New York").
- Select the LinkedIn account to search from.

Sales Navigator offers more advanced company filters: revenue range, technology used, department headcount growth, and more.
Import from CSV
- Click Import → CSV Upload.
- Upload a
.csvfile. Obert auto-detects columns:
| Recognized columns | Aliases |
|---|---|

| LinkedIn URL | linkedin_url, linkedin, company_url, url |
| Industry | industry, sector |
| Location | location, hq_location, headquarters, city, country |
| Staff count | staff_count, employees, company_size, size |
Each row needs at least a company name or LinkedIn URL.
- Review the column mapping.
- Click Preview to see a sample.
- Click Start Import.

After importing
Imported accounts go through enrichment:
- LinkedIn resolution — company identifiers are resolved to LinkedIn company pages.
- Enrichment — full company data is fetched: industry, staff count, headquarters, logo, website, description.
- Deduplication — if an account already exists (matched by LinkedIn ID or name), it's updated rather than duplicated.
Track import progress
All imports are tracked as jobs:
- Check the Jobs panel for progress.
- View counts: added, duplicates, skipped, failed.
- If any companies failed, click View Failed for details.
Common failure reasons:
- Invalid LinkedIn company URL
- Company page is private or removed
- LinkedIn rate limits (import pauses and resumes automatically)
Import into a list
To import directly into an account list:
- Open the account list.
- Click Import in the toolbar.
- Choose the import method and proceed.
Imported accounts are added to the list and scored against the list's ICP criteria automatically.
