Account Lists

Organize target companies into lists for scoring, tracking, and account-based prospecting.

Account lists are collections of companies grouped for a specific purpose — a target account list, a segment by industry, or a set of companies for a particular campaign. They work like lead lists, but contain companies instead of people.

Create an account list

  1. Go to Lists in the left sidebar.
  2. Click Add List.
  3. Choose Account List.
  4. Enter a name (e.g., "Enterprise SaaS — US", "Q2 Target Accounts").
  5. Click Create.

Add accounts to a list

From the accounts table

  1. Go to Accounts.
  2. Select companies using the checkboxes.
  3. Click Add to List in the floating action bar.
  4. Choose an account list.

From an import

Import accounts directly into a list:

  1. Open the account list.
  2. Click Import in the toolbar.
  3. Choose an import method (LinkedIn URLs, company search, Sales Nav, or CSV).
  4. Imported accounts are added to this list automatically.

Create a list from selection

  1. Select accounts in the accounts table.
  2. Click Create List in the floating action bar.
  3. Name the new list.
  4. The selected accounts are added immediately.

View an account list

Open an account list to see:

  • All accounts in the list with their ICP scores
  • ICP configuration — the criteria used for scoring
  • Import history — past imports into this list

Each account shows its name, industry, staff count, location, lead count, and ICP score for this list.

Remove accounts from a list

  1. Open the account list.
  2. Select accounts to remove.
  3. Click Remove in the floating action bar.

Removing an account from a list doesn't delete it from your database — only the list membership is removed.

From accounts to campaigns

Account lists don't plug directly into campaigns (campaigns work with lead lists). The workflow is:

  1. Create an account list with your target companies.
  2. Score the accounts to prioritize.
  3. Find leads at those companies using Company Search signals or by browsing account detail pages.
  4. Add leads to a lead list for campaign enrollment.
  5. Launch a campaign targeting the lead list.

Alternatively, use a Company Search signal linked to your account list — Obert automatically discovers decision-makers at your target companies and routes them to a lead list.
