Connect Your LinkedIn Account
Link your LinkedIn account to Obert to enable lead discovery, outreach campaigns, and inbox management.
Connecting a LinkedIn account is the first step to using Obert. Your connected accounts are used for discovering leads via signals, sending connection requests and messages in campaigns, and managing conversations in the inbox.
Connect an account
- Open Settings from the bottom of the left sidebar.
- Click Accounts.
- Click Connect Account in the top-right corner.
- A LinkedIn authorization window opens. Log in with the LinkedIn account you want to connect.
- Authorize Obert to access your account.
- You're redirected back to Obert. The account appears in your list with a Connected status.

Configure rate limits
Each connected account has daily limits to keep your activity within LinkedIn's safe usage guidelines. Obert enforces these automatically.
- Click on a connected account to open its settings.
- Under Daily Limits, adjust the maximums for:
- Connection requests per day
- Messages per day
- Profile views per day
- InMails per day
- Under Send Window, set the hours and days when Obert is allowed to act from this account.
- Toggle Respect recipient timezone to adjust send times based on where your leads are located.
Changes save automatically.
Setting limits too high can trigger LinkedIn restrictions on your account. Start conservative and increase gradually.
Multiple accounts
You can connect as many LinkedIn accounts as your plan allows. When creating a campaign, you assign one or more accounts as senders. Obert distributes outreach across them using round-robin assignment.
This is useful when:
- Multiple team members are prospecting from their own profiles
- You want to spread volume across accounts to stay under LinkedIn limits
- Different accounts target different personas or regions
Disconnect an account
- Open Settings → Accounts.
- Click the menu icon on the account you want to remove.
- Click Disconnect.
Disconnecting an account stops all active campaigns and signals using that account. Existing leads and conversation history are preserved.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Solution |
|---|---|
| Account shows "Disconnected" | LinkedIn session expired. Click Reconnect and authorize again. |
| Connection requests aren't sending | Check that the account's daily limit hasn't been reached. View usage in the account detail page. |
| Account is rate-limited | LinkedIn has temporarily restricted this account. Obert pauses activity automatically and resumes when the restriction lifts. |
