Configure ICP for a List

Set Ideal Customer Profile criteria for a list to score leads by relevance.

Each list can have its own ICP (Ideal Customer Profile) criteria. Leads are scored on a 0–100 scale based on how well they match — so the same lead can score differently across lists with different ICP settings.

Set up ICP criteria

  1. Open a list and click the ICP tab.

ICP configuration tab

  1. Define your ideal customer using one or both methods:

Natural language

Write a free-text description. Obert's AI interprets it and scores accordingly.

"Senior engineering leaders at Series B–D SaaS companies with 100–1,000 employees. Preferably based in the US or Europe. Bonus for experience with developer tools or infrastructure."

Structured criteria

Set explicit filters:

  • Target titles — job title keywords (e.g., "VP Engineering", "CTO", "Head of Platform")
  • Target companies — company names, industries, or size ranges
  • Target locations — countries, regions, or cities
  1. Click Score Leads to calculate scores for all leads in the list.

Re-score after changes

ICP scores are not recalculated automatically when you update criteria. After making changes:

  1. Update the criteria.
  2. Click Score Leads to trigger a rescore.
  3. The job runs in the background — progress is visible in the Jobs panel.

Use ICP scores

Once scored, leads show color-coded badges:

  • High (green, 70–100) — strong match
  • Medium (yellow, 40–69) — partial match
  • Low (gray, 0–39) — weak match

Use these to:

  • Sort the list by score to review the best leads first
  • Filter campaigns to only enroll high-ICP leads
  • Set Slack notification thresholds to alert on high-ICP discoveries only

See ICP Scoring for more detail on how scoring works.
